jack_welsh
Cliff, they sure knew how to make them in the old days! They knew what was important, too. BIG negs. How about that one camera with the 4 foot x 8 foot plates.
silverscape
Jack, I think you were the one who convinced me to try out my Kodak Brownie 2A. The 3, 6, 9, etc frame counting works perfectly. And yup, I love big negatives! The Brownie 2A takes surprising sharp pictures and you get HUGE negatives...they almost look panoramic! It makes great contact prints. When I get a little bit of extra money, I think I will go back to the camera shop and get that Kodak folding camera. jack_welsh
Chris, you convinced me to buy that Brownie Model 2 box, that the local camera store had when you got yours. A case of, "He has one, so it must be worth it to buy one for me." Now, I have 11 box cameras. From a 127-120-620-116-616-124 and 130 size. Do feel that if you want to try a Van Dyke Brown or Kallitype someday. That, the 616 size would be great. It gives the photo that antique brown look. You could try a piece of Ortho sheet film to get the full size neg image. Have done that with my larger boxes.
