matt_mayer
I just opened up my factory refurbished canon 40d, set the time and date and it all works perfectly. EXCEPT when I turn it off and back on, it prompts me for the time and date as if I didn't set it. Is this something simple I'm over looking or could this be a defective unit?
KenPapai
Have you checked the small, internal battery? Sounds like the likely culprit.
PuppyDigs
Yep, you need a new button cell for the PRAM/backup memory. You can buy one at CVS, Walgreens or the Rat Shack.
Sometimes the light’s all shining on me.
