Happy Wednesday and Happy New Year everyone!

I went to Año Nuevo, CA state park today. It’s still early for elephant seals mating season, not many activities. I am planning to revisit in late January or early February when the males will battle for alpha status.

00VNMx-205083684.jpg.5c045654d9de33bcadd2e2dc6f750b89.jpg

I sound like a broken record, but again so many great pics!
Some that caught my eye:

Per-Christian Nilssen : I just love the expression on her face.
Jens Frederiksen : Makes me want to go there right now.
Erik Christensen : at the right place at the right time.
Rick Dohme: beautiful colors.
James Kazan: caught my eye and kept it.
Jeanne Hauschild: very creative
Steve J Murray: nice portrait. Glasses came out very well and like how you can see the wood on the one lens.
deep vishy: "dreamy" shot.
For those of you that like snowy pics: this is what we had Xmas morning in front of our house. Very unusual to have an actual blizzard (40 mph + winds plus 6" of snow) in Oklahoma. First ever Blizzard warnings for Tulsa County!

Dan, thank you very much! Yes, it was in Central Park. I shot many of those trees/woods in the Park as I liked the shape and complexity of those winter branches, but I ended up liking this best. I guess I am learning a bit here thanks to many inspiring photos. Happy New Year!

First of all, I want to express my gratitude to all of you for your contributions to this thread, most of you have been so regular to this weekly meeting; I was only the first poster, you have been the people who make this such an enjoyable and fun place. From the bottom of my heart, thanks. You`re lovely people. To the newcomers, you`re welcome. We`ll be glad looking at your current work here each wednesday.

Many great pics this week as usual, I`ll be short, I`ll mention just ten pics. I like the nice b&w conversion from Shane (from Velvia), Greg Jones` minimalist? scene (also on film), Tom`s flying birds, Lil`s bird having lunch, Oskar`s flower (and that interesting camera setup!), Steve Murray`s portrait, Tiffany`s blue portrait (thanks), Wenshu`s fruits (thanks), nice to see the Bahnhof Strasse from the eyes of Renè and Richard Karash` landscape.

I already have my pic for the next thread. I`m looking forward to see the first 2010 WedNEsDAy PiC, from now on started by Matt. See you tomorrow!
