djcphoto
I would experiment with Vaseline on a clear filter. I've seen very similar results using this approach.
JTG1
Might try using the blur tool on the area/section you want, that would achieve this look. :)

Best Regards,
Jack
JDMvW
Vaseline is so messy to clean off. Use something water soluble like KY lubricant.

Vincent, you can post a LINK to the photo, and that will show people what you're talking about
vincent_thomas1
Here is a link to a photo ...
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o107/bout_de_lune/Aveillan-2.jpg

I would off course like the deformation to happen during shooting, not in post production as someone mentioned using the blur tool...
(i shoot still and video...)

v*

mike51664877339
Skip the filter threads, and attach a close-up lens with masking tape, in such a way that the close-up lens is tilted. They sell LensBabies for this, but they are pretty expensive for what they are, in my opinion.
vincent_thomas1
Thanks all for your suggestions!
Michael, what kind close-up lens could you attach? I'm a little confused here i must say... Is it something you add on top on your original lens and manage to have it tilted in one way or another?
Thanks
vincent*
mike51664877339
Here is a shot of a Brownie box camera with a close-up lens taped on. With this diopter on this camera, attaching the add-on lens at an angle is not a problem: since the diameters match pretty closely, the diopter can slide around a bit. If I were to try distortions with this set-up, I would roll up a small strip of masking tape to shim one side. Since it is a close-up lens, you lose your infinity focus. This setup captures subject between 40" and 60" away. I carry a tape measure with me.
