PD- and Non-Metering Prism swap-able?

<p>I got both a PD and non-metering standard prism for the M645 for KEH. Both were "ugly" so no surprises.. the standard prism has a very fine line across it which is expected, however the line in the PD Prism has turned into a massive strip which obscures 50% of the view.</p>

<p>Is it possible to swap the prism glass from the Standard Prism to the PD Prism? they look identical..</p>

<p>Only way to find out is by trying it, they're both chceap enough you'll have nothing to lose at this point. I'm sure it's going to be the same glass inside. RBs are the same, Mamiya tends to keep things simple.</p>

<p>I read somewhere that some paint remover to remove the damaged coating, then sticking an ordinary or front-surface mirror up against the prism, will restore functionality, at the cost of 2 horizontal lines. Which I can live with...</p>
