Matt Laur
What country are you in? Or at least, what continent are you on?

Are you talking about selling prints and having them delivered, or just selling access to higher-resolution downloads of the files?
pjmeade
All of the above.
Get a catchy business card or possibly better, a really spectacular rubber stamp with your details and put that on their hands.
Brenda Staudenmaier seems to do well http://www.flickr.com/people/photogrrlxxx/
Get lots of equipment insurance (and life?)
And welcome to PN
orias
I'd go with business cards as well, assuming you have a site to show your photos to the general population.

A stamp seems a little forward and intrusive, but that 's just my opinion.

myworkshop
I would recommend smugmug.com for someone just starting out. They offer a turn-key service. You can post your photos on there, create a domain name and storefront, and set your prices. They handle the rest including printing them and sending them to the customer. They are good if you don't want to use your own printer, or get too involved.
