richard_freedman1
Hopefully not too stupid a question: when using the power winder on a 200 or 2000-series camera, would it be possible to hold the camera by the winder in the right hand, ie-using the winder as a grip like the Winder CW, and using a small cable release somehow mounted on the winder? Obviously, what I really want is a Winder CW for my 201F bodies, but since no such beast is available, would there be any danger of causing damage by doing the above? ulrich_ploedereder
Hi Richard, I think it was in the Hasselblad brochure "Hasselblad - The camera system - 50 years" where you can find a picture of a 203 FE with a CW winder mounted. I was very surprised about that so I asked a Hasselblad salesman at a product show here in Germany a few years ago. He told me it would be possible to modify some 200 models so you can use it with the CW winder. BUT: Hasselblad Ahrensburg (Germany) would do this for you on request, but it is not officially supported by Hasselblad in Sweden. It seems more or less on your own risk, but also, it seems to work (thats my opinion). Another fact is that after this modification you can't use the manual crank any more. It will not fit, you can only use the CW winder. Regards Uli
