Portraits are now on display in two places:

(i) National Gallery of Art in D.C. (I haven't been yet, but plan to go.)

(ii) P.S. 1 at MOMA's Contemporary Art Center in N.Y.

Here's a link to a National Public Radio (NPR) story and a small online gallery containing 13 of the portraits:

I heard this on NPR last night, and was quite intrigued by the mention of his ink-jet printing process. The article above says: "And maybe that's what makes his photos worthy of an exhibition after all these years: the simple fact that they're crafted so artfully. His printing process, for example, is one of a kind. He uses — again, his words — "multiple impression inkjets with various isolation coats of conservator chemicals used to intensify the colors, some of them with three days of hand-applied micro-crystal and waxes over the isolation coats. " Anybody have any links to discussions and details about this process?
