steffenschulz
Does any Canon DSLR have AEB control without having to use the menu?
Two reasons. Firstly, I use a 400D which only allows AEB control via the menu. When I switch the camera off, AEB turns off. Can't find a custom setting on the camera for this either. Forum postings indicate that AEB on the 400D is menu driven only. So I have to live with that on the 400D.
Second. Body upgrade time. Does the 50D or new 7D control AEB any better? Does either one have AEB control without having to use the menu? Or alternately, can this be set as a custom function?
Thanks, Steffen
oscar_van_der_velde
On recent cameras above the X00D level, since the 5D, you can save all settings to a Custom Mode (C or C1/C2/C3 on the program dial). So you set the AEB and everything else you like, store this as custom program, and you can dial it whenever you need.
