<p>It goes on sale on November 27th in Japan. I don't think it will go on sale earlier anywhere else in the World.</p>

<p>Seriously - I am satisfied with the older version but if the VRII is really a big improvement it may be worth upgrading for many just for that.</p>

<p>But then you lose the nice blur and vignette of the original version - how can you live without these <em>desirable</em> characteristics? So much extra photoshopping will be needed to fix the v. II images to v. I user expectations.</p>

<p>I got the II. The AF seems snappier. When shooting a human cross country race finish line with a D3S, 90% of the shots were in focus, much better than the I version with a D3.</p>
