<p>Why don't you try a few? Mpix offers 8x10's on Kodak metallic paper for IIRC $3 each.</p>

<p>To me, for some subjects they look great and for others they look odd. Specialty papers like the Kodak and Fuji metallic papers, Fuji Supergloss, Cibachrome (Ilfochrome) (a whole different process), etc. can look great, but it depends on a lot of factors, and what you are trying to achieve.</p>

<p>Thanks for the response. I have been using metallic paper for about 4 yrs now and love it. I didn't put the site because I didn't want people to think this was spam. I came across this site from an ad in Outdoor Photographer last month. bayphoto.com. They print right on aluminum and make some awesome claims. I think it must be fairly new.</p>
