herman_aviles
Hi Guys,
The RMC variant received some favorable feedback here:
http://www.photo.net/filters-bags-tripods-accessories-forum/0043Ni
I'm looking at picking up a Tokina 28mm f2.8 "EL" (MF). Anyone have experience with this lens?

Also, I currently have a Tokina (AF) 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 and a Kiron 28-210mm f4.0-4.5 (MF). Convenience and weight aside, would the Tokina yield appreciably better results (however YOU interpret that) than the zooms at 28mm? I understand zooms have improved over the years....

Thanks!

vick_vickery
While I have no direct experience with that lens, I've owned several Tokina lenses thru the years and have always found them completely adequate; no, they take a back seat to the Zeiss lenses on my Hasselblad, but so do most of the other lenses I have including a selection of Olympus, Minolta, Nikon, Kowa, and others. At the same time, I wouldn't expect alot better performance with the 28mm than you get at 28mm with the zoom of the same make.
