azlatic
Happy Wednesday!

Went to a hot air balloon glow in St. Louis' Forest Park last Friday night. The race was on Saturday, but the Friday night glow always draws huge crowds. Beautiful night...would've loved to been the person with the air horn that signaled the pilots to light 'em up!

steve_lyon1
Deception Pass separates Fidalgo Island and Whidbey Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Very deep and narrow, the area has a swift tidal stream (faster than 6 knots when this picture was taken just after max flood). The area was first mapped in 1792 by the Vancouver Expedition.

gary_mcghee
hi folks,

Joseph Leotta, congratulations on your 40th anniversary. It will be my 5th next year.

Well i have had a very busy week. I finally saved enough pennies to buy myself a D700. I am really struggling trying to find a raw converter. I used to use Rawshooter Premium for my D200 files, but it wont recognise my files from the D700. I really liked Rawshooter and if anyone knows of any tricks to get it to work with D700 files i would be more than happy. I have downloaded trial versions of Lightroom, Capture 1, Bibble 5, Capture NX2 and Rawtherapee but cant seem to get the shots looking how i like them.

My shot this week was taken in the lake district using my D700, 135mm 2.8 series E lens @ f/2.8, 1/640 sec, iso 200.

Always some great shots to be seen.

I took this shot on the way into work this morning . I'm fortunate to be able to skirt a little countryside before driving into the city. paul_b.1
Hi guys ! This picture was taken in a so called pre-wedding photo session. jannekaakinen
Great to see you and your beautiful photos again!

Thanks to everyone who commented my shot last week, again I found myself too busy to throw in comments for last week's thread (I really liked photos by for example Jose A., Ton M., Jeffrey A., Mark M, Juho N., Shane S. & Aaron B. in last week's thread!). I really must make time for this week's thread, looking great!

My shot for this WedNEsDAy-thread is my regular morning view on my way to work, shot on a early Saturday morning. A study of rhythm if you will, finally had time to take the photo I had thought of taking for weeks. (And the platform was finally empty!) :)
