gej_jones
With the purchase of my D90 I received a charger.
It has stopped working. Has anyone else had this problem. I've tried a second battery and a second cord. No luck.
Thank you for your interest.
Gej
ramon_v__california_
sorry to hear that. did you get the original MH-18a? if you have a voltmeter you can test the charger and the cord. with cord plugged into the wall outlet, check the voltage from the male plug on the other end that goes into the charger. it should read 110-120V. if it does, plug it into the charger and check the voltage from the two pins. it should read 8.4-9V.

o well, i talked too much. you probably knew that and have done the tests.

ShunCheung
Nikon started shipping the D90 almost exactly a year ago. Therefore, most likely the charger is still under warranty.

I have like 3 or 4 of those chargers (from the D100, D200, D300 and D700). All are still working fine.
yann1
Funny: When I bought my D90 the charger didn't work, I sent it back to the shop a week later and they gave me a new one, after testing it. They didn't look too surprised. Just go back with all the stuff papers etc. One more reason to buy new from a real seller.
jukka_hernetkoski
Yep, I had the same issue, the charger shipped with the D90 died after couple of chargings. Had it replaced and have not had any problems with a new one.
gej_jones
Thank you to everyone who responded.
I called B&H (where I purchased the D90) and they said they were not responsible for the charger.
I'll try Nikon. Thank you Adam for the link!
I'll let everyone know how this turns out.
Gej
