mart_van_genugten
woman bows over drink I am pleased with the very graphic nature of this portrait. I am very curious to know what other people think of it. actually it is strange to have a portrait on which the person can not even be recognized.. kevin_lee2
very graphic nature? what does it mean? first thing comes to mind with graphic is something thats quite contrasty, or contemporary with architectual elements, this for me isn't graphic (other than the fact that it's a photo so ipso facto its graphic).. I dont like the crop of the face, sure its alrite, perhaps even cool to have the subject matter appear out of focus, but in this case, the closed eyes, cropped out face just dont look appealing... plus its negatively connotated in that it looks as though shes spitting into the glass.. mart_van_genugten
I think it is graphic by means of the composition and the texture of the shirt. and that it's not an optically accurate depiction of a scene (that's mabye why it's not very glamorous). The association of spitting hadn't occured to me but once you've mentioned it...

henk
Im afraid you did misinterpret the grafic part. This is mostly associated with tack sharp allover-tripod mounted-studio lighted-large format commercial advertising pics. However the subject has a hint of this, its just a girl enjoying her beer... HEY!! a girl who loves beer???? Damn, this is great afterall.... But seriously, it is a nice pic, could do with some better sharpness, depth of field(DOF) etc. but generally nicely seen and shot...Keep em comin' ;) Greetings,
