Hello WedNEsDAy friends,

My contribution of this week was shot back in May at Shoreline, Mountain View, CA. The Hawk couple was taking a rest from building a nest. Aren’t they a handsome pair?

Thanks to Richard Karash and Lil for the comments last week. I agree with you Richard, loons are a difficult subject due to their coloring and their wariness towards man. My shot last week was taken after spending about a half hour quietly trolling along with an adult pair in our fishing boat. After a while they seemed to accept us as being loony too!
This weeks shot is from the same trip to our favorite northern Wisconsin getaway.

I though today was Tuesday, then I see its Nikon Wednesday. I'm not ready. The holiday on Monday threw me off.
I had a whole plan about Little Italy in the bronx, but that will have to wait for next week.
So its off to the files for this week. Its been hot so lets cool off.
From last Winter in Vermont

D100 with Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF

This is an amazing week! I won't go into my faves because I don't want to exclude anyone, but I want to mention two things. Charles, I was also at the Toronto air show, on my 3rd story deck and I almost posted the same shot. And I thought I was the only one taking photos. So here is another shot from that same airshow. The other thing that I wanted to mention is that I have never been interested in macro photography, but watching this post week after week I have seen some amazing stuff and I have to say that it is catching my attention.

Anyways here is my contribution this week, I know it is a bit long, blame Charles.

Shot with my new D700 just purchased on friday to replace my amazing D200.

00URSC-171111584.thumb.jpg.f862238b3d6429cba74d95ba42ead724.jpg

Tug on heart oh,ah story: Since family companions always turn-up on WPW ... this is Sam, 17 years of age, almost deaf, very forgetful (keeps meowing for food even though it's in his bowl), still active and the target of everyones affection ... including the dog.
Real, Photocentric story: excuse to play around with a new lens.

I've been away for a while now, but did take my time to check what's going on on Wednesdays on Pnet. :) Finally I have some time, so I'll post photo from last month when I was on vacation. I haven't had camera in my hands since arriving home last month. :( So here it is, it's early morning ferry about to stop to embark passengers from little island here in Croatia.

00URT7-171123584.jpg.fa54a4d2427b04cf8f7559c662ad352e.jpg

Hi everyone! Great pics already in the thread, can't wait to see them all tomorrow!

My pic was shot last Sunday, the only day within a couple of weeks I actually used my cameras more than a shot or two. Me and my significant other went to a short walk in the neighborhood and I fell in love with the green moss on the trees in a small patch of forest that is basically in our backyard. I think I might have gone a bit overboard with PP'ing with this one, but the green made me do it... :)

READY TO JUMP ME!
I met this fella while talking a stroll around South Beach (MIA) ,he was taking the sun (actually he was taking the shade) next to an empty pool of an old abandoned hotel.
I got inside the empty swimming pool to take this capture and he very cordially posed for me.
His name is Jack, or at least that is how the Old night guard of the hotel calls him , Jack is a regular he said or perhaps a loyal customer.
Have a GREAT wednsday guys. i will try to visit jack today for a photoshoot and cookies, (tuna for him)

00URUS-171133584.jpg.4715f754c46160e43ae550684d5c4619.jpg
