ray_rg
Good Morning WedNEsDAy :)

my favorite so far...

Jose: I like the color in the picture and blurriness of the cage.
Joseph: really felt like I'm in the ground. Is it easy in PS to change the eye color like this... being a novice in photography and PS.
Justin: I liked the different lights captured/manipulated in the picture, I dont know what was the flow corrected, but I like it.
Shun: Timely captured shot.
Steven: I am a fan of pancackes...
Ton: I think this week's photo is unusal (other then portrait), but I like it very good composition and b&W makes it much better.
Chris C: very well captured dragonfly.
Eric: really feels that he is trying to listen crowd's response.... "once more"
Nick: nice capture. did you use polarizer for the water color/reflection?
Hamish: beautiful
Jens: nice portrait
Ian R: I liked the composition and looks beautiful.
Bernard: beautiful portrait as well as your "other half", I liked this portrait in B&W and composition too.
Rene: I like the picture with boardwalk, it is nice.
Leo: nice portrait.
Matt: I feel the mood.
Susan: Nicely captured Humming Bird, I guess.

got to get back to work.... all the pictures posted so far are best in one or the other way and I am sure many more will come today and tomorrow...

my contribution is from few weeks back, visit to the zoo :)

Model: NIKON D40
ISO: 200
Exposure: 1/250 sec
Aperture: 5.6
Focal Length: 92mm
Flash Used: No

I hope you all like it

Ray

Shutter speed at 1/125, but it came out okay. petter1
Hello, good morning
First of all, I want to thank all the compliments from my last week's photo - Thank you!
I've returned from the holidays in Switzerland on Saturday and I have a ton of new stuff to edit and post, but since I'm so late in doing that, my contribution this week is from a friend's birthday we went to last July.
This is Leonardo, a little baby boy that fell asleep in a beanbag in the middle of a hot afternoon*
D700, AF-D 50 f/1.4, converted in LR2.

(*Dave Matthews Band quote from Dream Girl)
adam zyto

Nikon d90 / Nikon 85mm f1.8

Set the ISO to 2000, which is no problem for the d90. Left the rest to the program mode and LCD review and shot to shot adjustments. Subject movement was an issue and the lighting was changing every few seconds so I shot and adjusted accordingly till I found the exposure of 1/400th f5.0 with underexposure compensation of minus four full stops to work here.

Took a few shots the put the camera away to fully enjoy a masterful artist and a genuinely nice man performing as well as he ever has. jessegonzalez
Good Morning all, I see we have some great entries so far. What wonderful shots from everyone. Mine comes from a comic book convention I was at over this past weekend. Disney announcing a new Tron movie. And had this Light Cycle on display. Enjoy and I hope everyone has a great day. gwen_klaus
The world seems to get a little smaller on Wednesdays. So many great pics already.
This weekend, hubby and I went to our first Civil War Reenactment at Cascades Falls in Jackson Michigan. The sound of the muskets and cannons were different than the live fire of skirmishing, but there was a lot more action. Before the battle reenactment we talked to some of the reenactors. This man was the epitome of the men and women who relive the Civil War era for a weekend. He knew the complete history of the original 6 pounder he fires from the time it was cast in 1838, through the Mexican/American war, the Civil War battles and the surrender of the gun to the Northern Army. Shot with Nikon D300 14-24 f/2.8 lens at f/11 17mm iso 200.
