dmitriy_babichenko Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009
I was wondering if anyone had experience with Impact radio trigger/receiver systems. I need to be able to trigger 10-12 flashes at the same time. Currently I have a pocket wizard transmitter and two receivers, but I cannot afford to buy 8 more pocket wizard recievers. The Impact ones are a lot cheaper, but I was wondering if they are reliable.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Charles_Webster Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009
They are not reliable enough for a "got to get it right the first time" job. They might be reliable enough for a student or art project. Is 80% reliability enough, 70?

<Chas>
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Two23 Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009
If you need to save money, the CyberSyncs are the cheapest triggers that give 100% reliability. At least, out to about 450 ft. or so.
Kent in SD
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dmitriy_babichenko Posted August 18, 2009 Author Share Posted August 18, 2009
What about AlienBees triggers - I have four of their AB-800 monolights and they've been extremely reliable so far (I've had them for 3 years now).
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
