nathan cote Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009
I am looking for an excellent source for lighting techniques. I can run a softbox and umbrella just fine but i am unfamiliar with grids, snoots and barndoors. I have never found a good book that wasnt completely elementary and i am self taught. I never got a class in school to walk me through the basics as well as the tools i can utilize. Some of my work can be found here. Feel free to let me know what techniques i could utilize or websites i would benifit from.

Thank You,

-Nathan
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Charles_Webster Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009
Click on the "Learning" tab at the top of this page and select "Studio" from the list. It' will give you a good place to start.

<Chas>

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nathan_stiles Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009
Nathan, in addition, check out the "Lighting" forum here on PN. There's a Themes section archived that has several good lessons in it.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bradley_bogue Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009
If it is still around montezucker.com is an excellent free source. It's the original website of Monte Zucker who loved to teach lighting and posing.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
