What Was Your Best Day Photographing This Past Month?

I was looking at another Bemoaning Ratings thread, and I thought I'd ask the opposite:

What was your best day of photographing this past month?

Just a casual question. I was thinking more along the lines of more enjoyment, and not necessarily the best photo.

One of mine was when I made my first underwater photo. The picture of a snail, below, was among the first half dozen.

00U4K2-159405784.jpg.692cdc58d94bfe3020f7b037c843e2e5.jpg

Wonderful Idea John...Well, what day was it for me. I had a few good days of shooting this past month, but SATURDAY would have to be tops because I got to spend it with my Son...I really enjoy my time with him and that we both share in photography is cool...
My favorite shot of the day. Pentax ME-F, Tokina 17mm and Ilford XP2

I just finished asking Daniel for his one favorite picture from SATURDAY and he had two.
Pentax LX, SMC M28F/2.8 and 99 cents store film...

I wish he would have went portrait style with this one or used my 17mm lens as it would have been a great shot. None the less, he found the shot and likes it...Yep we are always trying to see who out does who in finding the shot of the day...

Javier, that last street (alley?) is a street-photographers' paradise... :)
.
my best day would be based on having achieved something, or even better : having surpassed myself. I need to grow in a photographic sense. So here two very different samples of that.
first a 'straight' portrait of my two youngest kids done in bl/w, ie. two unusual features in one go.
.
next is an experiment in abstract creativity, which I find very difficult to do

It's hard to isolate one day in particular, but I'd say 'right up there' was a small still life session I had with an interesting poppy I found. It made me realise how much fun you can have with still life - the control you have with composition and lighting, combined with fewer elements to deal with can really push you creatively. Of course, this photo doesn't show that but it got the juices flowering I think. It also reminded me of how dark sharp the new 70-200/2.8 HSM Sigma lens is. This was at 105mm and f/16 and it still gave incredible detail.

But then, it's always hard to beat some good fun with a fisheye I find :D. Taken with the Samyang 8/3.5.
p.s. sorry, not with a pentax camera, but with lenses that can be used on a Pentax atleast. I just felt like joining in, feel free to delete if you feel the post is inappropriate.

Not limited to a day, but had a great time on my recent trip with my daughters to my parents cabin. I used only a 24-50mm zoom the whole time, but really enjoyed the shooting and the results. I posted the in the photo of the week for this past week, but here's one more I liked a lot.

00U4gM-159695584.jpg.392dc616100bedef8da16301f053c7cc.jpg

Well I just got back from a trip to Canada where I did quite a bit of shooting--about which, more later. Aside from that, it's been mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee and the 1000mm and DA*300mm both set up on tripods waiting for birds. Here are two shots of the "trophy" species, both taken with the 1000mm.

I'm pretty pleased with this hawk. He didn't stay long because he was being relentlessly harassed by some quick little bird (flycatcher, I think). I've cropped the little bugger out of the "finished" version but you can see him in this original.
