klsphoto
Help. I'm running CS3 on a Mac w/ Leopard. For some reason, all of a sudden, my action to "merge visible" layers to a new layer (keeping all adjustment layers below intact) doesn't work. It merges all layers into a new background layer. I've even tried manually creating a new layer and holding the Option (alt) key and clicking on "merge visible". Is it possible for CS3 to "mutate" and loose this very important function?
thanks for your help. Karen

brad_smith8
(I mean for the layers you don't want merged)
patricklavoie
it work with mine CS3 and CS4 with Tiger and Leopard. I would probably trash the Photoshop preference and reopen it ..see if that work.
john_latimer1
I second Patrick's advice. Yes, PS can loose its mind every once and a while, trashing the prefs and restarting usually solves the issue at hand.

emil_ems5
Patrick and John,
Could you please explain what you mean by "trashing the preferences". I have a problem similar to Karen's and would like to make sure I am doing the right thing.
