tobycline
Searching this subject here finds threads that haven't been updated in years. That scares me because there may no longer be any good answer to this. I live in the U.S. but work takes me to Hong Kong several times a month. KEH, B&H, Adorama are good, but if I can get a good deal on a Mamiya in Hong Kong, then why not?

I'm curious if anyone, as of 2009, knows of any retailers in the second hand medium format category. The boys on Stanley Street don't seem to have much left as far as Mamiyas, and TST, Mong Kok, and Sham Shui Po seem to be all high priced digital. Is there still a good used MF store in town?

Thanks.
Ian Taylor
I spend half my time in HK and have checked out a few used shops. I can't see how you can do better than KEH.
tak_l._poon1
Hi, you may try this one, about 5 minutes walk north from exit A or B of TST underground station. they do carry a lot of used MF stock, and, as far as I know them, they are honest people.
http://www.zxg.com.hk/
you may have a try.
Last time I bought some used LF material in quite reasonable prices.
This one has a small used MF section on the second floor, but mainly sells new equipment, also at TST, exit D.
http://www.tincheungcamera.com.hk/home.php
cheers,
Tak

rickbehl
There's also a place called Matsuya in a covered shopping parade on Nathan Road (near exit C of TST MTR station)... You can google for the exact address. They have a pretty good selection of MF gear incl. Pentax, Mamiya, Hasselbads and Bronica. I picked up a Pentax 67 and couple of lenses there fairly recently. There's a guy who works there called Robert who is very helpful and can give good advice. Certainly a lot more helpful than most of the guys in Champagne Court (small 2nd hand camera mall on Kimberly road). You can have a loot at Champ. Court but I found the service to be not quite as good and if you look anything like a tourist you may get fleeced....
Rgds
Rick
