Are you in the USA? Have you asked your dealer to contact HP Marketing, the Rodenstock distributor? Are you aware that the current caps no longer say Rodenstock on them? They are identical to the Kaiser caps which your dealer can also buy from HP Marketing in the USA. In Canada Kaiser is distributed by Nadel and Rodenstock by Blazes.

I would suggest just taking the lens in to a local camera store and trying some lenscaps they have in stock. Many camera stores have a box under the counter containing hundreds of orphan lencaps, adapters and filters that they sell for next to nothing. The lenscap doesn't have to be new or say Rodenstock to work, just has to fit snugly and not touch the front of the glass elements.

Where did you get that size and catalog number? Rodenstock does not use a 50mm cap. That should be a 6 and a 0 with a line through it. That means that the diameter of the cap (inside diameter) is 60mm. But the Rodenstock catalog number for a 60mm lens cap is a 14 digit number with three dashes in it. That has been the catalog number as long as we have been the Rodenstock distributor which is over 20 years. Looking at some of the 60mm caps that we do have in stock from both Rodenstock and from Kaiser, neither has a 8373-50 (or 60) 21 number in it. Just either 60 or 60mm on the inside. And yes, I do see that we have some of the 60mm caps with the Rodenstock name still on them.
