markus maurer
Since formula 1 car races are non existent and forbidden in Switzerland all I can do is showing some duck and swan photos to get the attention of "somebody out there"..... michael_elenko
Markus,
Darn, I just shot a race car for work, but I don't have the repro rights unfortunately.
But fortunately I do have duck shots. These are taken from both Skagit River (a national scenic reserve in NW Washington state, and down the hill from my home with the local Audubon group.
I'm real bad with formal duck names.
All of these were taken with a K20D and a Bigma, from 420-500mm. Though the Bigma is imperfect the fun factor makes it work having.

Skagit river

Puget Sound

Puget Sound
The next three shots are a series of a duck's successful pursuit of breakfast. I'm impressed.

A common clam

Open wide

And down the hatch

ME

shots worth sharing
Hat tip, Markus.
I have no fresh duck and don't shoot race cars but, since I established a reputation for orinthological mis-identification in the POW anyway, here's my contribution (it's the thought that counts--right?)

andrewg_ny
Haig, that one came out great, nice lighting. And somewhat interesting to my eyes--see mostly mallards around here.

Dave, I have a friend who refers to all flowers as 'lilies'. Perhaps all birds are 'ducks'?

mountainvisions
In the south (I hope this falls under politically correct) most people call any and all brands of soda either Coke or (older folks, again I hope that is politically correct) pop. So if you want a rootbeer it's still called a coke.

For instance, "Get me a Coke..." "What type?" "Rootbeer"

Yeah, took me a while to get used to that.

I don't do flower macros or ducks, but how about a couple of loons...

<a title="Loon Protecting Its Chick" href=" title="Loon Protecting Its Chick">

<a title="Man vs. Border Collie" href=" title="Man vs. Border Collie"> <a title="Man vs. Border Collie" href=" title="Man vs. Border Collie">
<a title="Damaged pride....Man 1, Border Collie 1" href=" title="Damaged pride....Man 1, Border Collie 1"> <a title="Damaged pride....Man 1, Border Collie 1" href=" title="Damaged pride....Man 1, Border Collie 1">
