Hello everybody
Recently I’ve bought Linhof Kardan Color 8x10".
The seller added a thing that looks like a compedium (photo left), but I cannot figure out how to connect it (to the lens board?). The fout bolts go freely (photos at the right), no spring, no thread…

Can anyone please explain me how this intended to work?

Thanks
Andrey

Steve, thanks a lot!
Yes, I remember these holes on the front standard, I just thought they are for that little spirit levels.. Will try this evening :)

Cheers
Andrey

Steve, it works!
No springs needed: the friction in the holes keeps them tight enough; when I put them in or pull out they feel as if there were latches in the holes, so the design is ok. The only problem that I so far cannot attach the compedium quickly, it takes me a couple of minutes, the last connection is too tight to me... probably a matter of practice...
I anticipated a problem with cable release, but nope: the light gray "buttons" (visible at right photos) do act as spacers and leave enought room for cable release between lensboard and the compedium. But shutter/aperture operations with the attached compedium are very, very awkward...
As for the fine camera -- yes! Waiting for the holders in anticipation of beautiful contact prints :)
