sfdgs
I recently purchased a new PC and installed Lightroom 2.2 on it. When I open the program and choose a catalog to work out of, all that is displayed is grey boxes in place of where the images should be. All the data from each shot is displayed when I click on one of the grey boxes, but no image will show. How do I fix this problem?
howard_m
you might have to have it regenerate the previews. go into Library module, then the Library pulldown, then Previews (near the bottom)
pcnilssen
You could also try to download the latest version, 2.3, and see if this helps.
sfdgs
Thanks for both of your suggestions, but neither one seemed to work with this issue. I also uninstalled and re-installed the program with the same results.
mark_sirota1
I'm guessing your monitor profile is corrupt. Try recalibrating your monitor.

If you don't calibrate your monitor (yet), you could try changing your monitor profile to sRGB as a test. If you see images, then I'm right about the nature of the problem. However, this is not a complete solution; it is incorrect to install a working space (sRGB) as a monitor profile, but it's a good test to help identify the problem.
