endre_st_lsvik
I sadly have a boatload of APS films. I want to scan these and forget about the sad fact that my youthly half-year Asia/India trip was documented with a compact APS camera!
Do anyone have a good idea for where to search for preferrably used such things? Ebay didn't turn up any good candidates.
My amazing logic facilities tells me that there should be many of these stored in different attics and cellars around the world, as APS has fully died by now, and people that own an APS scanner have probably already scanned all their films - so they could sell it to me!
mendel_leisk
If you can find a Minolta Scan Dual II and the APS adapter, you'll be good to go.
roger_smith4
The Canon FS4000US comes with an APS adapter. It's probably the best quality scanner you can get that will affordably scan this film. I'm assuming you want high quality scans for prints.
It's 4000dpi and has hardware IR cleaning. It also does 35mm- I got mine used off of Ebay for about $350. If you go this route you will want to get a SCSI connection for your computer (makes scanning faster) and Vuescan over Canon's filmget.
kelly_flanigan1
The older FS2710 scanner here came with an APS adapter; but our Canon FS4000US did not. Maybe they made different bundles with the Canon FS4000US? Both our Canon FS2710 and FS4000US were bought new; and came in sealed boxes.

Had Canon EOS IX SLR, Canon ELPH Jr, and Contax Tix cameras. Still have the latter two, and a stock of film in the freezer. :-)

The Minolta Scan Dual II had an excellent if slightly fragile APS film carrier, nicer than the Canons. The best film scanner I've used has been the Nikon Coolscan IV ED with its APS carrier. I bought the Coolscan used at $235, the APS film carrier was a bit expensive at $180 but is absolutely worth it.
mendel_leisk
The Scan Dual III and IV might also do APS (with adapter), not sure.
