montague_withnail
I know magazines can handle 35mm, 6X4.5, 6X6 + 6X7.Can most also accept 6X9? I appreciate the info asit may help influence a buying decision with regardsto a Fuji Rangefinder. I want to know if it can beused for saleable slides, or if it is only suitablefor wall prints. Thanks very much.

allan_jamieson2
Yes is the answer. I've got a Fuji GSW690 and the transparencies that it produces are excellent, especially for things like cover usage. If the proportions of the image are a touch too long, then there is plenty of room for editors to crop into. Remember also that the Fuji 6 x 9cm cameras are really more like 5.6 x 8.6 cm in proportion, appreciably longer than 6 x 7cm images, but still very useful, think of it as being like a giant 35mm image. Saying that, give the images a slight crop to the top and/or bottom and they can give a good panoramic effect too. You won't regret buying one of these cameras. art_haykin
I agree with the above, but if you have any doubts or other questions, get in touch with the picture editor(s).
allan_jamieson2
I meant to mention that Dales in the UK are amongst the best for prices on the Fuji 6 x 9cm cameras at present, actually significantly below Robert White's prices at present. I'd recommend either of these companies to deal with, both are competitive on prices and courteous any time that I have called them. I've got a posting on the General non-archived section just now, commenting on good and bad camera shops in the UK that I have dealt with, if anybody is interested in adding a few comments. I've only got one bad company on my list at present and that is Fieldgrass and Gale, for quite a few reasons. Maybe others have had better luck with them than I have! thomas_vanhaute
I know for a fact that loads of food- and studio-assigments in Belgium (and no doubt around the world) are done using 6X9 transp. (mostly with that Fuji-thing...). So, no worries there! Good luck!
