problems with marquis selection tool

<p>Hello all..I seem to have the same issue on a recurring basis. It seems to come and go almost randomly. I'm using CS3, but had the same problem in cs2 and ps7.<br>

When using the marquis selction tool, after making my selction, i should be able to move the marquis selction bounding box around, without affecting the picture, in effect recomposing the image.<br>

The problem that seems to come and go, is that when I have completed making my selction, and wish to move the box, it cuts my selction from the image and moves it with the bounding box, eben though i have not slected, "cut", "copy" or anything else for that matter.</p>

<p>The marquee... out of my head I recall having similar problems. What if you hit Shift or Ctrl while you move around? I remember there's a key to avoiding cropping within a picture.</p>

<p>make sure you have the marquee selection slected, if you have by mistake select the move tool it will crop and move the zone. You should be able withotu a problem to move the selection if you have the correct tool selected.</p>

<p>"marquis selection" is typically the responsibility, I think, of the king... :-)<br>

"Marquee selection," on the other hand, is often accomplished by mere photographers.</p>

<p>If you hit enter (or the equivalent), the marquee (ant race) becomes a selection. You can choose the menu item "select/modify" to revert to the soft format.</p>
