Tom Wiggins Photography
I just switched to Photoshop Elements 7 from PE5 and colors are messed up. Images have a very red cast, tryed both management for photoshop, with printer managment turn-off and printer management using ICC profile for the paper. Same output red cast. Any ideas. Never had this problem with PE5. Thank you Tom

Tom Wiggins Photography
Lauren: Thank you for the suggestion, but it appears that I have things set up as you suggest. I did download new ICC profiles, but can test until I get a new ink cartridge, ran out of cyan. Once again thanks for the suggestion. betty_nevelus
Tom, I'm new to this forum and I'm having the same problem you described. No matter what I do, my images have a red cast to them and are muddy and dark. I've tried Lauren's suggestion of using ICM and no color adjustments, but nothing works. Are you using an Epson printer? I have a R230 and an old R800 (which I thought was broken when I used it with Elements 7). They both give me the same red-tinged ugly results. I think there might be a problem with the way Elements 7 interacts with Epson printers in general. A lady on another site is having similar issues with her Epson 320 and the full Photoshop CS4. Both Elements 7 and Photoshop CS4 are designed to work seamlessly with Epson printers, but it looks like there is a "bug" somewhere in these new Photoshop programs that's causing this error. I have had to go back to Elements 5 in the meantime, and I'm not happy about it!
Don't even try to get an answer from Tech Support for either Epson or Adobe. They just "buck-pass" from one to the other. I spent all day recently trying to resolve something with them and it was just a mess. I think I talked to every Techie in Bangalore without solution. Also, if you've had Elements 7 for longer than thirty days, you won't get your money back.
