michaeljlawson
I am thinking about heading to one or both of these locations tomorrow or later this week (weather pending) to shoot some of the waterfalls. Last year when I went in June they were bone dry. Has anyone been there recently and if so do the falls actually have water? I'm hoping with all the rain we had recently they do. Thanks in advance for any advice.
tien_pham
The falls are bone dry could be because in June, at many places in high elevations, it's still winter. I saw a snow storm twice in May in the Bishop, CA area. You may want to investigate the elevation, the seasons of the area. You may want to come there around August maybe.
michaeljlawson
I just got back. The falls at Matthiessen have a decent amount of water (for north central Illinois) if anyone else is interested. I'll post some photos in my "Newest Edition" section over the next day or two.

The highest point in the entire state is only a little over 1200 feet above sea level.
tien_pham
Hey David,
I don't live in Illinois. And I'd never been there. I just suggested. That's why there was a "could be" in my suggestion. I thought you understand English!
