What type of paper texture do you like for final portrait prints?

I would love to hear your thoughts on different print textures that you use and why you love them. I am experimenting with different textures through Millers for my portraits. I just had a senior session printed with the pebble finish,, and I am not sure I like it. It almost looks like the kiddo has little pock marks on his face. On the other hand,, when I scanned it,, I loved it as it scanned terribly. This is one tiny weapon against the all too rampid copyright ignoring that I have seen from the general public. I have had many customers order the cheapest package,, and scan away when they get their prints.<br>

<p>My favourite is Ilford Satin finish. It has just the merest hint of a sheen to it.</p>

<p>Luster....actually for all my prints, not just portraits. Always have, even in the wet darkroom. Which I believe is much like Ilford's Satin</p>
