travismcgee
Has the "black dot" issue been resolved? I think I read that a firmware upgrade fixed it. Is that true?
stillbound
if there ever was a black dot issue it was not nearly as abundant as you would think if you spend your time in front of a computer and it only happened when pictures were poorly exposed...
but there was a firmware update...
pto189
Jamie, it was my mistake. They're only available at Amazon, B&H, and Adorama.
Dave, as Joseph said, the firmware 1.0.7, an upgrade from 1.0.6, fixed the "black dot" phenomenon and vertical banding noise. Please check here.
wayne_campbell
Hmmm. Have to think this one over. That free shipping makes it pretty irresistible.

photo_dark
I already got mine :) Never noticed black dot issue... Firmware 1.0.7 ammends this anyways, along with vertical banding apparently. However, beware there is a recall on... apparently the glue on the shutter isn't strong enough or something. I have to send mine in... luckily a service center here in town.
andy_szeto
Philip, you made me happy for a few seconds until I clicked on the B&H site. The 5D Mk II is not available. I had been checking with B&H every single day since Canon announced it. I cannot even get on their waiting list.

tamer
I've got mine 2 days ago.
I have about 150 shots so far. I can tell you it's amazing. Have no regrets what so ever from a photography point of view. worth the upgrade from my old 5D(Which I'm already loving)
The onlything thing that I'm having issue with is the HD Video. I'm still trying to figure it out.
The movie runs nice and sharp on the camera, After downloading it using the software that is coming with the camera, I feel that there are few frames get dropped from the movie while the movie is running. Not sure why yet?
zafar1
I am on Amazon waiting list but my order is still pending. Are you sure that they were in stock in Amazon and through amazon (not through a 3rd party)?

elliot1
Photo.net's partner, Adorama, had plenty of them available yesterday but I can confirm that they have at least one less.

Andy, call Adorama!
thomas_chung4
For those you got the camera now, the next thing that you should worry is the battery. I have ordered 2 a few weeks ago in Adorama but still in back order status.
