dotty_waxman
I will be in the Endless Mountainsregion of northeast Pennsylvania in about 10 days. I've only been there in fall and would love some suggestions for possible locations for this time of year. I'm assuming that Ricketts Glen will be closed except at ground level.
Is the Pennsylvania "Grand Canyon" a must see?
Thanks in advance.

Dotty

david_loble1
Dotty
World's End and the Loyalsock River can afford some opportunities. Over the New Year holiday the water was relatively high (it has been very low in recent summers) and is best shot in the afternoon sun. The town and lake at Eagles Mere (Rte 42) are picturesque. The toboggan at EM is probably up and running this winter. There are paths and Conservancy trails throughout the area. Not much in the way of accomodations in the area. The Eagles Mere Inn is o.k. Don't know about Ricketts Glen.
David
dotty_waxman
David,

Thanks for that info. We're staying in Towanda which I suspect needs some fresh snow by now. Landscapes might be less than optimum but frozen waterfalls might be the best bet unless more snow falls before 2/12.
