sergio_de_la_garza
Hello all I have a Minolta CLE and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to take flash pictures with the flash off of the camera. I have seen module, sync cords, and adapters, but none of them say if they are specifically for the CLE or Minolta 700x (both camera's use the same TTL flash system, and cords that work on a 700x will work on a CLE.) I've check through B&H, Adorama, and this forum. What I want to be able to do is take indoor shots, with the camera held vertically and still be able to bounce the flash off of the ceiling. The flash I am using will tilt up but will not twist, so when held vertical, it will illuminate head on or to the side. I'm sure there must me some cable that would slide into the hot-shoe of the CLE on one end and have a hot-shoe at the other end that I could mount my flash on. I just don't know who makes it, what it's named, or where to find it. I'm hopeing the collective knowledge at photo.net will be able to help me out. Thanks in advance for everyones time. Regards Sergio

andrew_schank
You need a Minolta cable OC plus a Minolta dedicated hot shoe adapter (3 pin). This will alow you to have full TTL with the flash off camera. Yes, this stuff was also used with the X700 and older TTL flash SLR's.
