marios pittas
A while back I ended up with a Mamiya M80 Polaroid Back. Does any one know what kind of film I can use in this one? Have tried the Polaroid 100 with no success. Many thanks Marios
frank_bunnik
Just like Hasselblad's polaroid 80 back it is meant for polaroid 80 film. As far as I know it is no longer being made (therefore I think the prices asked for the Hasselblad back ridiculous, I would not know what a Mamiya polaroid 80 back costs). Good luck, Frank
david_gonzalez
Polaroid still lists type 88 film on the site under the Business -> instant film -> Pack Film 3.25"x3.25" area. According to the Land List (http://www.rwhirled.com/landlist/landhome.htm) it is ASA 75. It is a color film. The older type 87 B&W has apparently been discontinued. These were both "type 80" films and should be useable in your back.
david_gonzalez
Just as a follow up, I did some quick internet shopping. B&H has type 87 still listed as a special order item at $10.95, but no type 88. Adorama has type 88 in stock for $13.89, but no type 87. They are both now listed as having 10 exposures instead of 8, Polaroid apparently having figured out how to squeeze 2 more sheets into the pack. Hope you can still get some use out of your back. marios pittas
David, you are correct. At least the 88 is still available by Polaroid. I went to their web site (www.polaroid.com) and searched for the 88 and 87 film types. Only the 88 return any product literature, although I was able to find the 87 as film used by some of the cameras. Many thanks for the help. p.s. How much is a piece of camera equipment worth? As much as the photos taken with it.. else it is worth as much as a paper weight :-)
