mike grossman
I have a Gitzo Explorer G2228 tripod. I think I over-tightened one of the leg bolts, leading to one of the plastic leg locks cracking. I THINK I can replace this piece myself. Any suggestions about where I can find this part? Or, in the alternative, any suggestions on who services these tripods other than Bogen - their prices are really outrageous.

Thanks, folks...

Ed_Ingold
Locate the parts at http://www.gitzo.com. There you will find parts and assembly drawings in PDF format. Once you have the numbers, call the parts department at Bogen (http://www.bogenimaging.com). They are very accommodating.
