How could I have done better at this event?

I'm thinkin' about it. That's where I was for the shot in question. Only thing is, the biggest tip seems to be the 70-200 which I don't have yet and no one in my neck of the woods rents them. I may be there anyway just for ***** and giggles.</p>

<p>Before going and buying a 70-200mm lens, give some thought to the 200mm f2.8 lens. A lot cheaper and a lot lighter. If you don't need the shorter focal lengths you haven't lost anything. Bear in mind that if you are currently shooting at 1/1000 at f1.8, an f2.8 lens will drop your shutter speed to 1/500.</p>
