vincent_pascua Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 <p>NEED HELP...<br> I was shooting a photograph this New Year celebration around 40 shoot I took and suddenly flash not firing and I still need to press again the switch on/off button to fire again and lately I got this message " BAT " so I change a new battery I though this will solve my problem but after switching on it took only 3-4 minutes it will switch off by itself, but still the light is on even I pressed so long the switch on/off it won't work so I tried to remove the battery and put it in (new battery) and it work for around 3 minutes only one flash fired in TTL mode and Manual mode and again message " BAT " appeared.<br> My Sb600 is still 6 months old and I don't use rarely.<br> Thank you for the help.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If that doesn't fix the problem, and it likely won't, send it in for service. ray_du_bois Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 <p>The SB-600 will go into "sleep" mode after not firing for 3 or 4 minutes. Are you using recharable batteries? My SB-600 doesn't work with them, when I switched to alkaline batteries it works great. Make sure you put in new and matched batteries.
