<p>Thanks Matthew, those brands seem to be pounded into everybody's subliminal memories as far as I can tell, I'm sure they make good products and truthfully I own a pair of N---n binocs, but if we don't promote on behalf of Pentax who will? I almost never see any adverts or am I missing something? John</p>

<p>I think I've seen a couple ads spread out among some random magazines, but that's about it. For the most part, they're next to nil. I tried getting my sister-in-law to get a Pentax, she was in dire need of a new camera, but after all I told her, she still ended up getting a C...n, Oh well :)</p>

<p>Its funny because I never once ever wanted anytrhing but a Pentax!</p>

<p>My Parents bought the K1000 in '77 when I was just 13. I was facinated with it then and still have and use that camera today. When my Brother bought a Nikon digital camera 2 years ago my first thought was I wonder if Pentax is making a Digital camera like the K1000........</p>

<p>I have had my K100D for a year and half now..... :)</p>
