Epson 1400 printer problems

<p>I just bought an Epson 1400. I saw the prints it makes before I bought it and WOW. Anyway I take it out of the box and install everything. The ink light is on (red) and the power light is flashing. When I run the ink levels it says 3 cartridges need to be replaced. Never got to do a print test. nothing. Has anyone encountered this problem. Or do you think it's possible epson could have sent me 3 bad cartridges. </p>

<p>A friend of mine just had this problem with her new Epson 1900; either return the cartridges to the store where you got your printer or email Epson support. I'd try the store first. cb</p>

<p>Thank you..But I got it from amazon ($240 plus $120 rebate from epson) can't beat it just need to get the damn thing to work. I heard Epson would send me new cartridges...Going home soon to see if thats the problem. replacing the 3. </p>

<p>make sure that all the cartridge are well sit in position..you should hear a *click* when they are.</p>

<p>Good that you solved it. When I first set up my 1400, one cartridge showed empty. I called Epson and they quickly sent a replacement out, which worked properly. Never had that problem again.</p>
