Pentacon 6 to M42 to EOS adapters

Does anyone know whether I can use a Pentacon 6 to M42 adapter in conjunction with an M42 to EOS (and an M42

to FD) adapter? I'd like to be able to use a recently acquired Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 180/2.8 lens with a P6 mount

on my EOS and FD bodies, and I already have the M42 adapters for those bodies. Otherwise, I'll have to get two

more adapters rather than one.

Works fine, may even work better than the more expensive P6>EOS adapters, although the latter gives you a shift

lens. (though what one does with a 288mm-equivalent shift lens, I'm not sure). I sometimes use T-mount M42

lenses with an adapter if the M42 is on the lens already. The only possible problem with stacking adapters would

be if any one were off gauge - people here have complained about it, but I've only very rarely found it to be a

problem
