P6/FD compatibility

I bought one 2 years ago for my CZJ 2.8/180 Sonnar.

The Sonnar made a lot trouble with its aperture. After the 5th time taking it apart, it went into the trash can,

the adapter is still somewhere here.

I paid about 30 Euros for it.

If you are from Europe i would give it away for free.

Send me an email if you are interested.

best regards,

Michael

Hello Mark,

as requested my email adress.

----

i will write the rest in the forum too, perhaps it is for interest for the others.

btw. i would not pay more than Euro 120 for the lens.

Have you seen these at *bay:

as i remember all Zebra Sonnars are P6-lenses. In your case i would prefer a M42 Adapter and fit it to your

FD-gear with a additional M42-FD adapter.

The main advantage is: you could use it on most other cameras too.

Mine made a lot of trouble with the aperture. I bought it in 1982 for 10$ from a local foto store as "damaged".

I fixed the aperture which was a lot of trouble because the thread of the front lens was heavily damaged.

It had an P6 to Exakta Adapter which i converted to an P6 to FD adapter. Later i bought the P6 to FD adapter, but

short after this time i began with digital EOS.

At the same time i bought a FD 2,8/200mm which is much lighter and easier to handle. The main advantage was the

weight of my photo bag.

The Sonnar is really heavy and not as easy to use as FD-Lenses. Focussing even with a laser matte in my F1N was a

hassle. Almost all pictures i took with it came from a tripod.

my 2 cents,

Michael

P.S. I´ve placed a picture made with this lens on:

http://www.mirotec.org/foto/czj180_1990.jpg

it is a scan from an old picture i made in 1983.

Because i´ve never posted here before i dont know how to attach a link to a posting.

And excuse my rumbling english,<div>00RZJR-90861684.jpg.41de5ec3565dc7434f0bebcf9414054e.jpg</div>
