shawnee_pedraza
I'm doing a family of 5 portrait this Sunday. I've had issues with multiple subjects being fuzzy. Should I use anA setting of 8? or higher? Because the three kids are very young I won't have time to experiment. Also my shootis going to be outside...should be a perfect cloudy day... Any help would be great!!
henryp
An aperture of f/8 or f/11 should give you adequate depth-of-field for a family of five. Accurate exposure has to be your #1 concern though. You should also plan to use a sturdy tripod, and a little -1 fill-flash will help, particularly on a cloudy day, by enhancing color saturation, contrast and specularity. Good luck.
--
Henry Posner
B&H Photo-Video Henry Posner B&H Photo-Video

david_schilling___chicago_
f/8.0 should be fine but be sure that your subjects are positioned parallell along the plane of focus and not stacked deeply. Also be sure to use a shutter speed that is fast enough to skip the use of a tripod or you'll likely risk some movement blurr with one or more of the kids.
