jennifer_horsman
I was considering purchasing a used black Contax G2 when I noticed it had written on the bottom of the body "Kyocera Japan" and on the lens "made in Japan." I thought these cameras were made in Germany, especially with the Zeiss lenses. Am I being duped? Thanks,Jennifer
rich815
No, the G2 and its lenses were never made in Germany. I suggest you do some basic research. Info on the G2 is all over the internet. A search at google.com is a good place, try the search term "Contax G2". or here is good source too: http://www.contaxg.com/contaxuser/
jennifer_horsman
Thanks Richard! I made a poor assumption about the G2.
k_michael
I purchased my G2 based on reviews of other users. Then I got my hands on one and saw what a great street camera it was. I know Contax has been around a while, but I too was surprised about seeing Japan on the bottom. Is the only German influence on this camera the lens?
