SD backs allow the dark slide to be stored on them. With ProS backs the slide is stored on the left side of the

camera body. SD backs have a red warning flag that indicates exposure has been made and you need to advance

the film. Outside of that, they're pretty much identical, except that the SD are current production items whereas the

ProS are older. Jim M.
