What is a model portfolio?

Hi my name is jeck, I always dreamed of becoming a model. I know I have what it takes to become that model. I’m

not just beautiful on the outside I’m also beautiful on the inside. I always play dressed up with my mother and

take pictures. I JUST WANT TO BECOME A MODEL

I am working on my portfolio right now.

I have no idea how to get started….HELP!!

You can start with a good headshot. Take it to some of the agencies in your area and ask them how to proceed. Beware of agencies that send you to an expensive photographer. It could be a ripoff scheme. When I did pictures for actors and models there were several such places in NYC. They would send the talent to a place that charged double for the shoot and get a kickback. What is a good headshot? A quality picture that shows what you look like. It should not be about jewelry, exotic makeup or clothes. It should be about you. It should make you look good, but it must look like you. If you walk in with a gorgeous picture that does not look like you it might do you more harm than good.

go see a model agency in your town and ask what they need, they will let you know pretty clearly if you can or cant be a model. be ready for some bad news..they are normally pretty direct.
