robert_buckley1
I just bought a D200 and have been playing with it for a week. The exposure compensation icon is always blinking. the manual says at values other than +_0 the 0 will blink and the EC ico will appear. My icon blinks no matter what the EC is set at. Is this normal.
howard_m
on the D300, you can set 'Easy Exposure Compensation' which is where you dont have to press the EV button. When that feature is turned on, the '0' always blinks. Not sure if the D200 is somewhat similar.
User_276104
Howard has it right - I have a D2x and Easy Exposure Compensation causes the 0 to flash. Custom Setting b5 on both the D200 and D2x will enable/cancel it.
robert_buckley1
I changed that setting (b5) to off and it is still blinking

davidsimageline
I would suggest trying resting the camera features as your last option. Holding down the the QUAL and the exposure compensation button at the same time.
elmroc
in the D200, there is a menu with recent settings. Can you scroll those recent ettings to see if you can identify the change you made to get you to the blinking "0"?
