images_in_light_north_west
Has any one been to Grand Tetons in the last week, I am thinking of heading out there next week, how was the fall color ? Thanks, Ross
Glenn McCreery
I just returned from canoeing String Lake to Leigh Lake in the Park today. Great weather, except for a thunderstorm above Mt. Moran which was a bit worrysome at first since Leigh Lake is adjacent to Mt. Moran. The fall colors are are becoming quite spectacular. Next week should be a great time to visit, but watch the weather forcast carefully.
images_in_light_north_west
Thanks Glenn, yeah the weather looks not great, but still early to judge for sure, sometimes bad weather brings great light though.

beartooth1
I'm headed that way on Sunday...We go every year about this time... and it's usually great...Although in '06 it was incredibly foggy for about 4 days but made for some interesting images....and the fishing was superb. Glenn McCreery
Ken and Ross, Yes the fishing was very good yesterday. If you want to see the complete album of photos from yesterdays canoe trip, including a couple of fishing hero shots, here it is (perhaps more photos than you want to see). This should inspire you to make the trip!: http://picasaweb.google.com/glennannmccreery/StringLakeLeighLakeCanoe08?pli=1&gsessionid=AxkI002lJmQJHTgkMxsI4g#

Glenn McCreery
Thanks Ken.. We were using spinners. Sunday's weather forecast is for a chance of rain. But after the weekend it should improve.
