sleahy73
Lens Chess? No. Camera wrestling? No. The Pentaxians gang up on the Canonian for some ritualistic hazing? Nope, but it was considered... The answer: Street Photography!<div></div>

musings
LOL, Sean! For a moment, I thought that was the Canonian on the pole preaching the gospel to us Pentaxian sinners...;->

mountainvisions
Interesting series, I'm a sucker for those really contrasty black and whites.
miserere_mei
Damn it Sean, now I'm going to have to stay up all night processing my shots so I don't look bad! The mug shot is hilarious for all the wrong reasons :-) Love "Canonian". K. was well dressed for that shot; it just wouldn't have worked if she had been wearing white. You didn't post my fave of the night, those people walking in front of Quincy Market. Justing will like that B&W too.
sleahy73
Ok Mis, here ya go! Yeah, the weather wasn't great, but it all still seemed to come together for some good photography, including what the "Canonian" was wearing. I'm pretty satisfied with a good number of my takes from last night. Justin, thanks man. I was telling Mis that I've come across a B&W process for photoshop that I'm pretty happy with. I've made a PS action out of it. If you're interested shoot me an e-mail.<div></div>
ken_yee
That's pretty cool. You guys should announce it in the forum next time you have a meet. I'm in Boston as well and it's been taking forever trying to get a few strobists together for a meetup :-)
miserere_mei
Damn it Ken, we didn't know! I thought you were Canadian... :-s Rose and I are in Boston (well, the suburbs, cos who can afford to live in the city?) but Sean is a pirate and his ship was in port yesterday while his mateys restocked the ship with rum barrels. duane_mills
With those legs and that bottom I could forgive her for shooting with a Canon!
steve_leblanc
From a Bostonian Nikkormatonian (but admit to DSLR Canonian moments) great pics! I love the BW Nighlife shot, and numerous others. Rock on! Go Sox! and Pahk the Caah.
musings
Wow, that Canonian is hot! Just imagine if she shot Pentax! ;->
mountainvisions
Sean, I'd love the action, although with Imaging Factory and Nik Plugins, I pretty much have plenty of good stuff for both standard and high contrast B&W conversion. Still, the look of yours is very pleasing to me that it just might be exactly what I need!! The last photo is excellent as well. Although the highlights seem just a little too blown on the faces. I think I like the tunnel shot the best, the contrast for that scene is perfect IMO.
garry_young1
Doesn't matter what brand you use, or how good the results are, just so long as you look good doing it!!!!!!!! Sean, good move getting Miserere to spin around on the street like that!
